I’m so grateful to Bitten by Books for hosting me and I look forward to chatting with you and answering any questions you have about my first paranormal series for adults, or any of my other books if you wish (I write paranormal for teens as Mary Lindsey and adult contemporary as well).
The Underveil Series has been a blast to write and I’m so excited Love Me To Death has hit the shelves! I’ve always loved the genre because it stretches as far as the imagination wants to go. As a reader, paranormal romance is the ultimate escape for me because it removes me completely from my real life concerns for a while. As a writer, it is an exciting challenge to be free from earth-based realities, yet constrained by the need to maintain believability.
Love Me To Death is the story of Elena Arcos, who when confronted with death, finds out what it really means to live—in this case, forever. The hero of the book is a Slayer, an immortal law enforcer, descended from Azrael, the Angel of Death. But Nik is no angel to be sure, and Elena discovers nothing she’d taken for granted is as it seems.
The book features many species of immortal beings existing in a plane parallel to that of our own, sometimes intertwining with the human world. Shifters, Slayers, vampires, conjurers, channelers, elves, and even species from other planets inhabit the Underveil. It’s challenging enough for the immortals to get along in their own world, but when they lift the mortal Veil, and mix with humans, all hell breaks loose.
Again, thank you to Rachel and Bitten by Books. Thank you also to the readers who have joined in today, both those new to my books and to those who have followed me across genres.
