International Darwin Day is here again, celebrating the birth of Charles Darwin!  The man, as I’m sure all of you know, is the person that came forth with the then-hypothesis (now scientific theory!) of evolution by natural selection. 

This concept was a breakthrough in understanding the world, not only in how things came to be but also how things will continue to adapt. 

It is the foundation of biology and an understanding of it is fundamental to life today, especially in the agricultural and pharmaceutical fields.  You can check out the basics of evolution in my What Is Evolution? post.
