Melissa: How did you get talked into renting out the upstairs apartment?Racer: There wasn't much of a talk. Larry asked if anyone was living in the apartment upstairs. I said no. He told me someone would be within twenty-four hours.Melissa: Why wasn't there a tenant?Racer: I like living alone. Tenants are disruptive, needy, intrusive…Melissa: What was your first impression of Gillian?**Racer gives me a cocky grin**Racer: Disruptive. Needy.
