Today Suzanne Lazear interviews Tiana, High Queen of the Otherworld. SL: Queen Tiana, would you like a chance to tell your side of the story today on the ballroom fire?
QT: Oh, so horrible, isn’t it? And such a lovely ceremony, as well. I did what I could to help, after all, my sons were there. I do hope they find who did it.
SL: I see. Did you intend to kill your son when you sent V on his quest?
QT: ~eyebrows rise~ Now why would I do that? All I wanted was something new for my collection. I even told my subjects to be extra helpful to Stiofán.
SL: Yes, why indeed. On that subject, why did you choose a sprite when you changed Noli?
QT: I was being helpful. My son spouted all that nonsense about spirit and independence, but I know what men want. They want beauty. They want a woman to support them in their dreams not have their own ideas about what they want for the future. I was simply trying to spare him any heartbreak.
SL: What do you think of V being with Noli?
QT: ~Sniffs~ Even as she is now, I still think my Stiofán could do so much better. Seamus, too. What exactly do they see in mortal girls? ~sighs~
SL: Back to your collection. You enjoy collecting interesting mechanical things such as your dog and your automaton. What is your favorite piece in your menagerie?
QT: I do have to say, I am rather fond of the automaton Stiofán found for me. She’s quite obedient.
SL: Are you happy now that all your children have returned to the Faerie Realm?
QT: I am delighted to have the back and I don’t understand why they don’t visit more. I especially miss Alís so much. I would bring her to live with me, but there’s quite a lot…happening right now and Stiofán seems to enjoy playing the man of the family.
SL: Do you have anything you would like to tell our readers about why they should read Fragile Destiny?
QT: ~spreads hands~ Don’t you want to know about all the dresses I wear? I do love a beautiful dress. As long as it’s not green.
SL: Is there a rebellion brewing? How do you feel about this, given you are the high queen.
QT: ~scowls~ Rebellion will not be tolerated. This petty uprising, like all others, will be quashed, and all those who support them will be eradicated. After all, I am the high queen, and no one, and I mean no one, not the dark king, not anyone, will rise up against me.
