Well, maybe not a-live, but there are plenty of immortals to go around for those of us willing to find them. The question is: Are you one of us, with an “Immortal Obsession”?
Vampires are Live and Well in London!
As trends in storylines come and go the vampire world seems to weather the storm for dedicated readers and writers. Can you think of a reason for this?
I believe it’s because there’s something about a gorgeous immortal that can’t be buried or ignored for long. I mean . . . they can be unbelievably worldly, and incredibly sexy. And though not exactly hot, in terms of body temperature . . . they are h-o-t in so many other ways = As in fan yourself, if their story is right.
My immortal characters are very special to me, and constantly show up in my mind. None of them are vampires, per se, but they are immortal through and through. These are ancient, beautiful, reclusive males – for the most part, and although they became immortal by drinking the blood of their Makers, they no longer need blood to exist. I love this idea, because if I met one in person, I wouldn’t have to cover my neck. Unless, of course, I wanted a ticklish nip from a set of my guy’s pearly fangs.
Some of you might already know my work on the Vampire Moons series for Nocturne. I have written a few novels and novellas about a special golden brotherhood, and this month’s release of Immortal Obsession is the latest foray into the story of one of the seven Blood Knights still existing among us.
Here’s a brief recap of the idea behind the concept of these immortals of mine.
Seven special men, each a knight of the Round Table, having sworn fealty to Britain’s King Arthur, were chosen for a Grail quest. You might remember the tales of Lancelot and Galahad, etc? But I took this quest a step further, and made these seven knights immortal in a secretive ritual, so that they could continue to fight might with right, and protect the Holy Grail for an eternity. And so they did. In each stand-alone story one of the Seven’s life unfolds, as we find him in this current century, so far from his own time, and separated from his brethren. We meet the women who turn the heads of these immortals, and learn about the problems they confront in trying, after all this time, to adhere to their original vow.
Three of the Seven Blood Knights now have their own full books, where their stories come to light. Lancelot started this series out in Golden Vampire. Another knight resides within the pages of the second book, Guardian of the Night. And a third member of this golden brotherhood has his say in this month’s release of Immortal Obsession.
Noble. Knightly. Dangerous. Gorgeous. Special. I’ve fallen hard for these sexy immortals, and each of their stories fascinates me. They are an author’s dream. Writing about them is bliss. So I hope you still love the paranormal, and also the highs of romance, and will take this ride with the brotherhood of the Seven, and with me, and see for yourself if the beauty of these seven particular souls gets to you.
Is there a special reading order for the books? No, all of the books can be read as stand alone.
