My Review
My Thoughts: They’re baaaack!!!! From the creative mind of a young author, Katrina von Cat the Master of Wisdom and Knowledge and the lovable Stanley, a Labrador/Rottweiler mix return in the sequel to the comical The Perpetual Paper of the Pack of Pets. In The Observations of the Obstreperous Animals we are once again regaled with a narrator’s point of view of the inner workings of this dynamic duo. This time around the Owners are intent on teaching Stanley and Katrina some new pet tricks but the clever feline has a plan which involves enlisting the help of their old friend Zorg, the guinea pig, who to my delight has a bigger role in the book. Leave it to Katrina to figure out any way of reigning supreme over the household.
MOM SAYS
The book also features a series of unpredictable events such as the hilarious poetry slam which has Katrina facing off against Stanley. Some of the pets more amusing observations include some scenes which as all too familiar (e.g., cats and a toilet paper party ~ need I say more?) One of the funniest chapters involves a comparison of Katrina’s To Do Lit and Stanley’s To Do List. It’s just as you would expect if you have been following Stanley and Katrina for some time now.
The Observations of the Obstreperous Animals will appeal to cat and dog lovers alike. This young author has done a great job of creating an amusing romp that will leave the reader chuckling aloud and nodding their head thinking “oh, she’s nailed it!” The story is filled with hilarous scenes that can only come from the imaginative mind of a young author and I think tweens in particular will really enjoy the absurdity and inventivenss of the story. I recommend this story as a read-aloud for ages 5+.

About the Authors: Stanley & Katrina
Stanley and Katrina are the pet authors of The Observations of the Obstreperous Animals.
Stanley is a three-year-old black Labrador/Rottweiler mix who does his best to ignore Katrina. Stanley enjoys snow, attention and turkey.
Katrina von Cat the Master of Wisdom and Knowledge is an eight-year-old grey tabby cat who loves her toy mouse. She enjoys treats, naps and bossing the dog around.
Neighbor Girl (Felicia) is the human who knows us (Stanley& Katrina) the best and helps us with everything. She loves writing, reading, acting, singing, reading gymnastics, doodling, reading, ice skating, painting, reading, doing computer stuff, oh… did we mention reading?
