As a writer, I spend most of my time hanging out with my cats, and since they aren’t quite the conversationalists I’d like them to be, it’s so exciting to share the books that have taken over my life with other people besides my editors (and said cats, who, I can say with confidence, do not seem to care).
Today, I’m celebrating the release of the first three books in the Mythean Arcana series. It’s a paranormal romance series set in present day Scotland in a world where mortal belief makes all the old myths true. I’m an archaeologist, so I’ve taken bits and pieces of the history I love and infused them into a world where reincarnations of ancient warriors and other supernatural individuals fight to keep the balance of power between the heavens and hells and good and evil. Book one in the series, Braving Fate, tells the story of the reincarnated soul of the Celtic warrior queen Boudica. She was brave, strong, and fought against incredible odds, but she had a tragic end. I wanted to create a world where Boudica could have a happy ending. The only way to do that without messing with history too much was to bring her back through reincarnation and give her a second chance. When she meets her hero in present-day Scotland, she has no idea that they have a past together, or that she’s about to come up against an ancient evil that she’ll need all her skills to defeat.
Books two and three, Soulceress and Rogue Soul, will be released at the same time as Braving Fate. Soulceress and Rogue Soul each feature a different couple faced with an extraordinary challenge – how to get your soul back once you’ve sold it, and how do you escape godhood while attempting to avoid the wrath of the other gods?
As a reader, once I get pulled into the world created by a book, I want to immediately move on to the next book in the series so that I can remain in the world I’ve grown to love. With this in mind, I decided to release the first three books in the series all at the same time. There will be more to come in December and next year, but the journey starts now.

About Linsey Hall
Author Bio:
Before becoming a romance novelist, Linsey was an underwater archaeologist who studied shipwrecks in all kinds of water, from the tropics to muddy rivers (and she has a distinct preference for one over the other). She credits the historical romances of the 70′s, 80′s, and 90′s with her love of history and her decision to become an archaeologist. After a decade of tromping around the globe in search of old bits of stuff, she settled down and started penning her own romance novels. Her books draw upon her love of history, travel, and the paranormal elements that she can’t help but include. Several of her books may or may not feature her cats.
