This will be my first ever read-a-thon and I've gotta say, I'm pretty excited. The best thing about it is that fantasy is my most favourite genre of all, so yay!
The wonderful hosts of this read-a-thon are Inge and Karolina at Bookshelf Reflections and Olivia at Olivia's Catastrophe. Make sure to sign up so you can join in the fun!
Fantasy? Why, yes please! (Hand-lettered by yours truly)
Introduce yourself!
Hey there! I'm Sarit, I am a blogger and my blog name is Coffee Books & Art . - It is very difficult to uderstand what i like to blog on isn't it? ;) Anyway you can add to it science, nature, myhthology and anything that catch my mind.
Why did you choose to join the read-a-thon?
Well, for one thing, I've never taken part in a read-a-thon before. But after doing blogging for sometime now, I thought it will be nice to introduce myself to my followers.
What books do you intend to read? What’s your reading goal and how many pages do you actually think you can manage?
My list is never end. All the time new books are adding to it and my choosing of what to read now is pretty erratic. (Right now I reading in parallel - Dragons Are People, Too by Sarah Nicolas and Endsinger by Jay Kristof)
12 Randomly chosen from - but could be much longer list -
- Holly Black - Modern Faerie Tales;
- Arrow of the Mist by Christina Mercer
- Riddle in Stone by Robert Evert
- (The December People ) by Sharon Bayliss
- (The Timely Death Trilogy) by Shannon A. Thompson
- Ice Massacre by Tiana Warner
- Doon, by Carey Corp & Lorie Langdon
- Rebel Angels by Gillian Philip
- Lightbringer by Brent Weeks
- Codex Alera by Jim Butcher
- Spiritwalker by Kate Elliott
- Earthsea Cycle by Ursula K. Le Guin
Hmm... this is really difficult question... but again i will right down the first one that come to my my mind - The Gossamer Crown (Through the Veil Book 2) by Tori Dougla the first one was difficult for me too -
Hole in the Stone It's was like reading a grocery list - so much potential that got lost.
Which fantasy book are you dying to read? Quick 5 - The Throne of Glass (I've heard such marvelous things about it), as well as Shadow Scale (Seraphina, #2) by Rachel Hartman, I so loved Seraphina ; Blood of Elves (Saga o Wiedźminie #3) by Andrzej Sapkowski ; Blood of Dragons (Rain Wild Chronicles #4) by Robin Hobb and The Darkest Part of the Forest by Holly Black
What fantasy book would you like to star in?
I will narrow my choices down to 3 - Holly Black - Modern Faerie Tales; Lightbringer by Brent Weeks or Codex Alera by Jim Butcher
Suggest three books for other read-a-thon participants that you think are worth powering through during the read-a-thon.
All that mention above.
If you could choose any fantasy book character to be chained to you during the read-a-thon, whom would you pick and why?
Cat Barahal from Spiritwalker by Kate Elliott or Althea Vestritt from The Mad Ship (Liveship Traders #2) by Robin Hobb Both are strong character brave and bold.
Tag at least one friend and pester them into participating! Trust me, next Monday will be fun, especially if you answer the previous question!
