DC: Samantha Dean (You know Sam and Dean? LOL)
BBB: What punctuation mark best describes your personality? Why?
DC: A question mark. I’m always asking questions or answering them. Ha.
BBB: Are you a listener or talker?
DC: Listener for sure. I let the characters do all the talking in my books.
BBB: Please tell us more about Bewitching the Enemy and the storyline that drives it.

Contractor Storm Morgeaux is trying to keep her business afloat and not sleep with the hot-’n’-sexy new client, Dr. Nathan Davis. Adding to her troubles is the fact she accidentally released a series of dark spells. Now evil warlocks are after her family, and she has no idea who she can trust.
Nathan’s biggest concern is getting his pediatric surgery center up and running. Still, his stunning new contractor provides plenty of distraction—until she sets off his Paladin medallion. A warlock is near. Nathan’s first responsibility is eliminating the woman who wields new and dangerous magic. But something about Storm calls to him. She’s mysterious, sexy, and downright irresistible, but most surprisingly, his. Without the spells, Storm must learn to trust her new abilities. But can she trust the man who’s torn between loving her…and killing her?
DC: Books 2 and 3 are under contract for release in 2015, but the fourth book is not. Nor is the prequel which I plan to publish it for fun myself.
BBB: What sets the Vieux Carre Witch Sister series apart from other books in the same genre?
DC: The series kicks off because of evil spells released from Storm’s grandmother’s magical portrait which hangs in the New Orleans Museum of Art. Storm quickly discovers that she and her sisters have both Witch and Warlock blood running through them, and the very man who Storm falls for is a Warlock hunter, but she’s also renovating his surgery center, so he is her boss too. I think the world I created where the Morgeaux sister’s work together in construction, and find magical trouble at each jobsite creates a unique spin to the series and also the sister’s familiars aren’t exactly what you would expect.
BBB: What types of characters / creatures can readers expect in your world?
DC: Witches, Warlocks, Vulture Shape-shifters, Racoons, Elders, Paladins and regular humans.
BBB: What do you miss most about childhood?
DC: Believing that everyone is honest and perfect. LOL
BBB: Which storybook/cartoon character (s) do you like the most?
DC: Beauty and the Beast. I love Belle and the Beast too.
BBB: What’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever eaten?
DC: I’m not too adventurous when it comes to food so I’ll just say Crawfish.
BBB: You wouldn’t be caught dead where?
DC: In a restaurant eating alone. I can’t do it. LOL
BBB: What’s your favorite bumper sticker?
DC: Drive like the Tardis is leaving without you.
BBB: What’s coming up for you for the rest of 2014 and into 2015??
DC: My first full length novel just released October 27th and I’m contracted for 2 more books in the Witch sister series, plus I have a Vegas novella coming out in Entangled’s Lovestruck line, plus I could have a Bayou series which is being read by a couple of publishers now. On a personal side I lost my day job at the end of October, because I worked for my husband who just retired and closed shop. Not sure what I’ll be doing other than hoping to write full time if possible.
